Picturesque wooden house west of Stockholm

Romantic and traditional Swedish family home. The original wooden construction is from 1929 and was extended in 2005. 6 sleeping rooms, 3 bath rooms with shower/bath.
We have a large garden, with lots of swings and other fun things for kids to enjoy, including a trampoline. The nearby school also have a well equiped play ground open for public in evenings and weekends.
Enjoy wonderful evenings in the romantic little garden house. It is equipped with an electric fan, to keep you nice and warm. A small forest on one side, neighbouring houses on two sides and a bicycle path on the other.
If you have some special requests, tell us and we will see if we can arrange it.

About the neighborhood

We live in the township/village Bålsta with very good communication to Stockholm: 30 minutes by high way to central Stockholm or 40 minutes by train. Stockholm, "Venice of Scandinavia", have a lot of tourist attractions to offer. http://beta.stockholmtown.com/en/ Besides Stockholm we have some interesting tourist attractions in the area: Skokloster Castle and the University town Uppsala where you will find out more about the vikings....but you will also find a large indoor water fun-park! If you are lucky you will see some moose feeding in the field but there is also a Moose- farm around if you would like a close up contact with " The King of the Forest"
Right outside Bålsta is Lake Mälaren, Swedens 3:rd largest lake.There are several nice public swimming areas 2-3 km away and an indoor swimming pool as well. There are lots of hiking and biking trails around. Lake Mälaren also offers fishing of pike and perch.
If you like horse riding you could go Iceland horse riding on small roads in the countryside..
Do you like golfing? There are 5 golf courses within 15 km from Bålsta!
Within walking distance (500 meter) there are pizza, chinese, Thai, Greek and Sushi restaurants/take aways plus a cafe.
Stockholm-Arlanda airport is 40km away. The Airport bus stops 100 meters from our house.
For those of you who have the possibility to fly cheap with Ryan Air. Stockholm Skavsta Airport is within 2 hours from Bålsta and Stockholm-Västerås Airport is 40 minutes away.This means we have an extra interest to exchange with families living near by airports operated by Ryan Air.
If you like to go west with train to Gothenbrug or Oslo, there are train connections from Bålsta

Fue una familia muy acogedora que nos facilitó todo lo que necesitamos y nos gestionó el traslado des de el aeropuerto a su casa y viceversa. Totalmente recomendable y guardamos un maravilloso recuerdo de su amistad.
