Welcome to Belgium, welcome to Sint-Truiden where nature, culture, peace, city and art are never far away.
Our home dates from 1745: it is a recently fully renovated house with a heated swimming pool (available from May to September). It is situated in the fruit orchards of Belgium, in Haspengouw. The kitchen is fully equiped with 3 multifunctional ovens, fridge, freezer, steamer, dishwasher, ... The living is very spacious and is very nicely ordened: we have a large table, a fireplace, 2 sofa's and a wide flat sreen tv. The bathroom consists of 1 central bath, 2 showers and 2 sinks. We have 2 spacious bedrooms with double beds, and a smaller room with a single bed. The house has 2 separate toilets.
In addition, we also have a very comfortable furnished veranda. The space has a beautiful view on nature and offers a lot of peace and quiet. You can also use this as a dining area, to read quietly or simply enjoy nature ...
Very recently (2024) we installed a swimming pool. The swimming pool has a length of 9 meters and a width of 4 meters. It is heated from May to September (depending on weather conditions) and has an automatic shutter. Furthermore, the chlorine content is adjusted completely automatically. The swimming pool also offers a very nice view of the house and the garden and is a great place to spend fun moments.
The house has been renovated in 2014 with the most luxurious materials: natural french stones, parquet, ... We already had exchanges with Valencia, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Montreal, Nice, Sevilla, Vancouver, Australie, Iceland, Brisbane,...

About the neighborhood
We live in Haspengouw: Haspengouw is very well known for its past and modern history. We live closely to historical, yet very busy and modern cities: Sint Truiden, Hasselt, Liège, Brussels, Antwerp, Leuven, Ghent, Bruges and many more Belgian cities. Other cities like Paris, Amsterdam, Keulen, London ... Are just a few hours away with the car (maximum 3 hours drive). Haspengouw is also known as the fruit orchard region of Belgium: there a lot of magnificent views on different orchards (we even have our own orchard).
Culture is never far away: a lot of museums are close to the house.

Zeer aangenaam appartement. Alles was aanwezig. Leuk ook dat we de fietsen konden gebruiken om de stad te verkennen. Er is een garage (voor kleine auto), maar ook voldoende gratis parkeergelegenheid in de nabije omgeving. Ideale liggen om de stad te verkennen met de fiets, en toch ook vlug weg uit de stad om de omgeving te verkennen.
Leuk appartement, goed gelegen. Afspraken liepen zeer vlot. Ideale uitvalsbasis en toch rustig gelegen aan het water.

We are a family of two: Julien and Pieter. Julien is working in the financial sector, while Pieter is busy teaching. we are a couple in our forties looking for adventure, fun, nature, history, art, ... . Although we travel most of the time together, we sometimes travel with one, maximum two other couples. But this will of course always be discussed first!
For many years we have been exchanging with Pieter's parents and now it’s our turn. We are Intervac lovers!
