Lovely 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home in San Francisco
Dear Intervac friends,
Our family home was built in 1916 in the Arts and Crafts style. It's located 6 blocks from the Presidio National Park, 7 blocks from Golden Gate Park, 1 block from multiple public transportation choices, and about 10 minutes by car from Golden Gate Bridge. It's a great residential neighborhood in the heart of the city!

About the neighborhood
San Francisco is a beautiful, fun and stimulating city surrounded by amazing nature. There are fabulous museums, amazing eating choices (from food trucks to world class restaurants), diverse neighborhoods to explore and stunning natural beauty all around. If you'd like to explore beyond the city, you can make easy day trips to Muir Woods National Park and walk among the redwoods, hike along the coast of the Pacific Ocean either north in Marin or South towards Santa Cruz. All ages will find many, many fun things to see and do in this beautiful city by the bay!
Some of our favorite activities right the front door of our house: biking in Golden Gate Park, hiking in Presidio National Park, walking to the beach or riding bikes to for ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery.

The home is beautiful in a wonderful location and we enjoyed San Francisco. Transportation is easy and it's 8 blocks from museums, the arboretum and Golden Gate Park.

Our 3 children adult children are out of college and beyond, which means it is primarily just Richard and I for the bulk of the exchange. Our kids may join for a portion of the home exchange. Our two daughtes live and work in Seattle and our son lives and works in Colorado.
