Lake Tahoe, California, all season adventure
Located in the Tahoe-Donner community of Truckee, California. Perfect for summer or winter adventures. Close to amazing lakes Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe), several world-class ski resorts, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, incredible golf courses, fantastic restaurants, alpine lakes, and much more. Truckee is an historic four season mountain town, with a charming downtown, a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts, and offers fine dining, and adventure for everyone.
Our three bedroom, two bath house is inviting and a perfect get-away in which to relax. The master bedroom (upstairs) has a king size bed, there is a queen size bed in each of the two bedrooms downstairs. One bathroom on the main floor and a master suite bathroom upstairs.
Additionally, if you choose (for a daily fee), you have access to a residents and guests only, beach on Donner Lake, gym facilities, swimming pools, jacuzzi, tents courts, pickleball courts, equestrian center, downhill ski center, and cross-country ski center.
Truckee is a three and a half hour drive from San Francisco and two and a half hours from California's wine country (Napa-Sonoma).
Northern California is a region of diversity, with mountains, forests, valleys, lakes, rivers, and vineyards within easy driving distance. Truckee is a delightful community of about 25,000 people and is close to Reno, Nevada.

About the neighborhood
The Tahoe Donner community is located in Truckee California, just 20 km from Lake Tahoe and 4 km from Donner Lake. The community is quiet and has many walking and skiing trails (depending on season), and a river. There are four large grocery stores, a hardware store, many good restaurants, a farmers market in the summer, and if you like gaming there are the casinos of Reno or Lake Tahoe little more than a half hour drive away.
During the summer, on Thursday afternoons and evenings Truckee Thursday takes place on the main street with local merchants and vendors, lots of food, and live music. There are miles of paved bicycle trails as well as wilderness trails.

Comfortable home, good location, wonderful city.
La maison de mes correspondants est située dans un des plus beaux coins de l'Ouest américain, près du Lac Tahoe, du Pacific Crest Trail et de nombreux autres lieux d'un grand intérêt. C'est un endroit idéal pour les amoureux de la nature qui pourront faire de la randonnée, pratiquer la pêche à la mouche et aller aux sources de l'histoire de la conquête de l'Ouest. Elle est spacieuse, élégamment décorée et très facile d'accès grâce à sa proximité avec le centre de la petite ville de Truckee , ville desservie par l'Amtrak que je conseille pour venir de San Francisco. Dépaysement assuré pour les citadins qui recevront sur la terrasse, la visite de geais bleus, d' oiseaux-mouches et même d'écureuils volants...
Pictures of the bedroom and kitchen would be helpful. The view from the apartment is fantastic. It is in a quiet neighborhood.
Very friendly, very tidy house, good location for exploring eastern Netherlands, lots of bicycling opportunities.

Arthur and Claudette are both retired educators. Claudette is bi-lingual (English and French). Claudette retired from being a principal (head of school) and Arthur retired from UC Davis as the Senior Director of Professional Learning Systems.
We have four grown children (2 girls and 2 boys).
We love nordic skiing, hiking, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and traveling. Arthur is a fly fisherman. We enjoy good food, outdoor adventures, as well as a good book.
