Between the Danube and the city center
Our appartment is situated in a very popular district of Vienna, near the Danube river and the Prater, Viennas biggest park with a permanent amusement park. The area is really calm and secure.
You have two subway lines, U1 and U2, within 5 minutes walk. In summer, it is pleasant to explore the city by bike (a 15 min drive to the center). The surroundings and the airport can easily be reached by regional trains from station Praterstern.
The appartment has 99m2 and consists of a spacious entry, a living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet. There is our bedroom with a king-size bed (looks onto the inner yard), a small bedroom with a loft bed (140 cm) and a big bedroom with a bunk bed.
It is a cosy, ancient appartment with high ceilings and wooden floors, with an efficient heating in winter and rather cool in summer. Only inconvenience, but it keeps you fit: the building does not have an elevator.
We have all necessary kitchen equipment (coffee machine, microwave, kettle) and a good WIFI connection. We can lend you 3 bicycles for grown ups and one for children (20 inches, 6-8 years) as well as a seat for one child up to 20 kilos.

About the neighborhood
Our appartment is situated in a calm residential area with many ancient buildings (1870-1890), and there are some nice restaurants and several supermarkets nearby. You can easily go to the city center and Danube Island (swimming!) by bike or public transport.
From Bahnhof Praterstern (10 min walk) you can easily go to the airport (S7 train), to Bratislava (45 min) and the main railway station Wien Hauptbahnhof (S1 or S2).

We stayed in Stockholm at Peter's and Marielle's flat for two weeks and really enjoyed ourselves. The flat is beautiful, spacious, modern and bright and the view is breathtaking. Stockholm and the surroundings can easily be visited by public transport from Söder station, which is not far away. Peter and Marielle were friendly, generous and welcoming. We highly recommend them and their place!
Everything was just perfect and as described in the announce. A wonderful house in a peaceful environment, many interesting sights can be visited in the surroundings and our exchange partners were very kind and generous.
Appartement conforme à l'annonce, propre et pas trop loin du centre. Nos échanges avec Martina étaient facilités car elle parle parfaitement le français. A notre retour, nous avons trouvé la maison propre.
Die Lage der Wohnung im 2. Bezirk gefiehl uns sehr: schön zentral, ÖPNV ist günstig in Wien. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was beschrieben wurde und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziges kleines Manko, die Küche war einfach eingerichtet was uns nicht störte. Alles in allem war es aber super. Guter Austausch.

We are a couple with two daughters (17 and 7 years) and have been living in Vienna for 20 years now.
We are looking for a longer exchange (2 to 3 weeks) in July or August and are also open for exchanges on short vacations or longer week-ends in Austria and neighbour countries.
Unfortunately, we cannot go to a place where CATS live indoors, because our daughter is allergic.
