Our Family
We are an active family of 4 with two girls in their late teens. Over the years, we have worked and lived overseas in Australia, Colombia, England and The Netherlands. We're looking for adventures, international connections and local experiences in new places.
Joe is a High School teacher and Laura is an Elementary school teacher in Ottawa. One girl attends a local CEGEP (pre-University) and the other is at McGill University. We have 2 sweet cats that love to sleep and chase chipmunks.
Traveling and connecting with new cultures is important to us. We are nature lovers and enjoy hiking, canoeing, biking, cross country skiing and anything else that connects us to the outdoors. Our girls join us but prefer the idea of visiting a busy city with new cultures and experiences. We would love a balance of the two.
There are many things to see and experience in Chelsea, in the province of Quebec and in Canada.
We would be happy to help you organize your experience here and truly showcase Canada.

Our exchange partners were exceptionally knowledgeable of their environs and enthusiastically offered suggestions to develop our travel plans. We had a excellent experience as a result of accepting their advice. Their home and gardens were lovely - well kept and inviting. We had a minor accident while driving their vehicle, and they remained gracious and solicitous. Our home was properly respected, and in great shape when we returned. They maintained regular correspondence during the exchange, which allowed both parties to quickly resolve any minor issues which arose and to share experiences.
Great exchange partners! They worked hard to ensure a positive experience for everyone, and welcomed our daughter into their home a few days early. Their home and environs were well suited to enjoyment of French culture. They left our home in excellent condition.
Ce fut un échange extraordinaire. La maison de Laura est typique canadienne et tout près de la rivière Gatineau sur laquelle nous avons passé beaucoup de temps. Laura et sa famille ont été très respectueux !
They were consistently considerate and accommodating in many respects, certainly beyond what might have been considered obligatory. Their home is accurately represented - we very much enjoyed the experience of our stay in a non-traditional setting, and would have liked to spend more time there. Maybe in the future... They took exceptional care of our home, and went out of their way to prepare for a set of guests who followed them. We were able to spend a few days visiting with them, and regret only that this opportunity to know them was so brief.
