Grande casa spaziosa dei primi del novecento con un grande giardino
La casa si trova all'interno del paese di Montecastrilli, in cui si trovano tutti i negozi per le prime necessità (supermercato, farmacia, frutta e verdura, cartoleria). E' una casa molto grande (di circa 300 mq) con un grande spazio comune al piano terra, un ingresso, uno studio/sala giochi molto spazioso e luminoso, un ampio soggiorno con due porte finestre che si aprono verso il giardino, una grande cucina con un ampio piano di lavoro ed un grande camino. I soffitti del soggiorno e della cucina sono molto alti, originali dei primi del novecento, con le travi e i mattoni a vista. Al piano terra si trova anche un piccolo bagno di servizio. Le scale portano ai due piani superiori dove si trovano 3 stanze (una con letto matrimoniale e due con letto singolo) ed un grande bagno al primo piano, due stanze (una con letto matrimoniale e una con letto singolo), un bagno ed una mansarda al secondo piano. All'esterno si trova un giardino molto grande, di circa 2000 mq, con lo spiazzo davanti casa pavimentato a pietra, il resto per lo più erbaceo, con molti alberi ed un viale di cipressi al centro.
Il paese di Montecastrilli si trova a pochi (23 km) dal centro principale della zona (Terni) e a pochissimi km da altri paesini vicini molto belli come Acquasparta (8 km) o Sangemini (11 km).
Our house is inside the village of Montecastrilli, where you'll find the necessary shops (supermarket, pharmacy, grocery, stationery store). It is a very big house (around 300 sm) with a wide common space at ground floor. It has an entrance, a study/playroom spacious and bright, a large living room with two French doors which open to the garden and a big kitchen with a large work surface and a chimney. The ceilings in the kitchen and living room are very high, they are probably from the early twentieth century, with beams and bricks. On the ground floor is also a small wc. The stairs go to the first floor where are three bedrooms (one with double bed and two with single bed) and a big bathroom. In the second floor there are two bedrooms (one with double bed and one with a single bed), another bathroom and the attic. The garden is very big, around 2000 sm, the part in front of the house is paved with stones, the rest has herb and many trees and a cypress alley on its center.

About the neighborhood
La casa si trova all'interno del paesino di Montecastrilli, di meno di 5000 abitanti. All'interno del paese, che può essere percorso a piedi o in macchina, si trovano due supermercati, una panetteria, una cartoleria, un parrucchiere ed un barbiere, una farmacia, due negozi di abbigliamento, due negozi per il giardino e l'agricoltura e un bar.
Il centro storico del paese è molto carino, non lontano dalla casa c'è una piscina pubblica che apre in giugno e chiude in settembre. Ogni lunedì c'è un mercato nello spazio dedicato alla fiera, mentre a cavallo del 25 aprile c'è una grande fiera agricola molto divertente. D'estate c'è sempre una notte bianca con spettacoli e bancarelle. Alla piscina, d'estate ci sono serate discoteca il venerdì sera.
I paesi vicini, Acquasparta (8 km) e Sangemini (11 km) hanno dei centri storici molto belli ed hanno delle feste di rievocazione storica rinascimentale (Acquasparta giugno) e medievale (Sangemini ottobre) molto interessanti, dove si mangia anche molto bene. Entrambe hanno festival di musica classica in estate e Acquasparta anche un festival letterario in primavera. In tutti i paesini del circondario tra la primavera e l'autunno si svolgono delle rievocazioni storiche con anche corse a cavallo (a Narni, 26 km e Sangemini), delle sagre e delle taverne dove si può mangiare anche molto bene a prezzi contenuti.
Non lontano si trovano le cascate delle Marmore (33 km), tra le più alte d'Europa.
Orvieto si trova a 62 km, Spoleto a 30 km, Perugia a 64 km e Assisi a 80 km. Tutte cittadine che vale veramente la pena visitare. Tutte possono essere raggiunte anche in treno da Terni (stazione di Terni, dove c'è un ampio parcheggio: 18,5 km)
Anche Roma non è distante e si trova a 110 km, oppure 1 ora di treno. Da Terni c'è quasi un treno all'ora.
Ci sono anche delle terme calde a Viterbo (66 km), una in particolare è libera e pubblica.
Ci sono anche dei laghi non molto lontani, il lago di Piediluco a 39 km, il lago di Bracciano a 92 km e il lago Trasimeno a 100 km.
A circa 50 km inizia la Valnerina, una valle stretta tra costoni di roccia, in cui scorre il fiume Nera, affluente del Tevere, in cui si trovano molti borghi. In Valnerina è possibile fare molte escursioni e rafting nel fiume Nera.
Siamo circa nel mezzo dell'Italia, di conseguenza siamo a metà strada tra Tirreno (110 km) e Adriatico (150 km), perciò potete scegliere!

Inside the village you can move by car, by foot or by bicycle and there are 2 supermarkets, one bakery, one stationery store, a barber, a hairstylist, a pharmacy, 2 clothing stores, 2 shops for gardening and agriculture and a bar.
The historical centre of the village is nice, not far from home there’s a public swimming pool which opens in June and closes in September. Every Monday, there’s a market in a public space, whereas in April there’s a very lively Agricultural festival. In August there’s a white night with shows, games and stalls. In summertime the swimming pools hosts disco evenings on Fridays.
The nearby villages of Acquasparta (8 km) (https://borghipiubelliditalia.it/borgo/acquasparta/) and Sangemini (11 km) (https://borghipiubelliditalia.it/borgo/san-gemini/) have really gorgeous historical centres and have very nice historical re-enactment festivals. In Acquasparta in June the Renaissance feast (https://www.ilrinascimentoadacquasparta.it/) , and in Sangemini in October the Medieval feast (https://www.entegiostradellarme.it/) . Both have classic music festivals during the summer, and Acquasparta has a literary festival in the spring. In many places not far from home there are many festivals and feasts between spring and autumn with historical re-enactment, horse riding races very interesting, engaging and where it is possible to eat very well at a good price.

They’re all beautiful towns which are really worth visiting. All of them can also be reached by train from Terni train station (18, 5 km from home, with a wide free parking).
Rome is 110 km from our home, or 1 hour train from Terni. There’s around one train per hour (www.trenitalia.it)
There are hot springs in Viterbo (66 km), one of them is public and free (https://www.termediviterbo.it/aree-termali-libere.html).
There are some lakes non far, Piediluco 39 km away (https://www.umbriatourism.it/it/-/lago-di-piediluco) , Bracciano 92 km (https://www.parcobracciano.it/it/) and Trasimeno 100 km (https://www.umbriatourism.it/it/-/il-lago-trasimeno-tra-arte-leggenda-sport-ed-enogastronomia) .
Valnerina (the Nera Valley, the Nera river is an affluent to the Tiber) begins 50 km from the house (https://www.umbriatourism.it/it/valnerina-da-scoprire) . It is a narrow valley between rocky ridges, where are many small and characteristic villages, but where you can go hiking and do rafting on the Nera river.
We are right in the middle of Italy, so the seaside is almost as far to the Tyrrhenian sea (110 km) and to the Adriatic sea (150 km), so you can choose!

Bob and Ivona's apartment is perfect for a family or some friends as it was in our case. Itr is very nice, confortable, practical, sunny. It has everything is needed in a home, the balcony is really nice. The neighbourgs are very friendly and helpful and the area is nice, very green, supermarket is just 5 min walk. It is a very well served area: the public transports work perfectly. In max 20 min you can be in the city center. Bob, Ivona and Federica are really nice, always ready to give solutions, tips, advices. We were in constant contact and they always answered to any questions/problems/requests. They have been extremely proper in the exchange: they have enjoyed the place following many advices, the house was as I left it as was the car. They are also really funny: sharing photos, videos, experiences, beautiful places! I recommend them as a family, they're very cool!
Giulia was very communicative and great person. The house exceeded our expectations, it was quite big and clean. The town itself was great and relaxing.
Giulia was altijd enorm behulpzaam en heeft veel extra informatie verstrekt, hetgeen we zeer gewaardeerd hebben. We vonden haar oude boerderij-type huis geweldig. Het is een ruim huis en kwam overeen met haar beschrijving en foto's. De omgeving is adembenemend mooi, al was het in augustus heet. We hebben er geen last van gehad en veel prachtige steden bezocht. Haar poes is een schatje! Al is Montecastrilli een klein dorpje, het heeft een oude kern en ligt centraal in Umbrië, perfect voor mensen die veel willen zien van de omgeving.
La famiglia di Diana e David è molto gentile, attenta, offre molti consigli, è sempre presente per problemi o dubbi in casa ma anche riguardo a informazioni turistiche. Ci siamo trovati molto bene con loro nonostante non abbiamo avuto la possibilità di incontrarci fisicamente. La casa è splendida ed offre ogni comodità. Le foto sulla loro inserzione sono senz'altro veritiere. Diana and David are very nice, friendly and attentive. They give many advices and are always there for any kind of problems or doubts reguarding the house or tourism. We really liked them, although we never physically met. The house is wonderful and has any kind of conforts. The pictures in the Intervac advertisement are absolutely realistic.

Sono una mamma separata con 3 figli che vivono un pò con me e un pò con il padre. Vivo in campagna perché mi occupo in parte della nostra azienda agricola e da qualche tempo collaboro con l'Università di Perugia. I miei tre figli sono Margherita del 2004, Alessandro del 2007 e Carlo del 2013. Mi piace molto viaggare e vedere posti nuovi, assaggiare cucine diverse. Mi piacciono sia la natura che le città, mare e montagna. Mia figlia Margherita è come me ed anche a lei piace viaggiare e conoscere culture diverse,a nche molto lontane dalla nostra. Alessandro e Carlo sono un pò più pigri, ma bisogna saperli stimolare, la cucina sicuramente è una delle cose che li incuriosisce, come anche le cose più particolari e segrete di un posto o di un paese.
I'm a separated mother with 3 children who live part with me and part with their father. I live in the countryside because I partially manage our farm and since recently I collaborate with Perugia University. My 3 kids are Margherita born in 2004, Alessandro born in 2007 and Carlo born in 2013. I love travelling and visit new places, taste different cuisines. I love both cities and nature, seaside and mountains. My daughter is very similar to me for this aspect, and she is very attracted to different cultures, even very distant from ours. Alessandro and Carlo are a bit more lazy, but they need to be pushed a little! Different cuisines are certainly what they are more curious about, but also particular, more secret things about new places or countries.
