Haus im Ortszentrum mit großem Garten
Our holiday residence is a three-storey historic house in the center of Mondsee. The large garden with its old trees is a great retreat for relaxing in the hammock, playing table tennis or having a barbecue together.
Toys and garden furniture are stored in a garden shed, and five bicycles and a barbecue are in the tool shed.
The house has two living floors, on the 1st floor and in the attic. On the ground floor, apart from the entrance area with wardrobe and the storage space, there is a boutique for ladies' fashions. Each floor also offers a loggia with a view towards the garden.
With 4 bedrooms, a large family kitchen, two bathrooms and toilets, further living areas and a cabinet, we like to spend time in the house with friends. The cabinet serves as a playroom for the children with a bundle of mattresses, which can be used also for other guests if required.
All you need for everyday life, such as a supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants, is in the direct neighborhood.
Mondsee is a good starting point for many activities in the Salzkammergut and Salzburg is only in 30km distance. In 2024, the Salzkammergut is one of the European Capitals of Culture and therefore offers many cultural attractions.
Until now, we have swapped accommodation with friends on a private basis. Friends who have been on the platform for a long time have introduced us to the possibility of exchanging accommodation with people abroad who we don't know. Now we are looking forward to finding interested exchange partners!

Unser Feriendomizil ist ein dreigeschossiges Gründerzeithaus in der Innenstadt von Mondsee. Der große Garten mit seinem alten Baumbestand ist ein toller Rückzugsbereich zum Entspannen in der Hängematte, um Tischtennis zu spielen oder zum gemeinsamen Grillen.
In einer Gartenhütte sind Spielsachen und Gartenmöbel verstaut, im Geräteschuppen finden sich fünf Fahrräder, ein Griller und Werkzeuge.
Unser Haus verfügt über zwei Wohnetagen, im 1. Stock und Dachgeschoß. Im Erdgeschoß ist neben dem Eingangsbereich mit Garderobe und Lagerräumen, ein Geschäft für Damenmoden eingemietet. Jede Etage bietet zudem eine Loggia mit Blick auf den Garten.
Mit insgesamt 4 Schlafzimmern, einer großen Wohnküche, zwei Badezimmern und WC´s, weiteren Wohnbereichen und einem Kabinett nützen wir das Haus gerne um Zeit mit Freunden dort zu verbringen.
Das Kabinett dient als Spielezimmer für die Kinder mit einem Stapel Matratzen, die bei Bedarf auch für weitere Gäste genutzt werden können.
Alles was für die Nahversorgung, wie Supermarkt, Apotheke und Gastronomie, notwendig ist, gibt es in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft.
Mondsee ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Aktivitäten im Salzkammergut und Salzburg ist nur 30km von Mondsee entfernt.
Im Jahr 2024 ist das Salzkammergut zudem europäische Kulturhauptstadt und bietet somit viele kulturelle Attraktionen.
Bis lang haben wir immer wieder im Freundeskreis auf privatem Wege unsere Unterkunft getauscht. Von Freunden, die schon lange auf der Plattform sind, haben wir erfahren, dass es so die Möglichkeit gibt auch mit Unbekannten im Ausland seine Unterkunft zu tauschen.

The Apartment is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The option of using their car also gave us some incredibly wonderful moments. We had a great time! Halladór and Matthea were very helpful as it was our first exchange on intervac.

We are both architects, Wolfgang is teaching at a vocational school, Sonja works in an architecture office focused on interiors.
