Welcome to our slice of paradise—one of four small farms nestled within the protected boundaries of the Ria Formosa National Park and perfectly positioned between historic Tavira and the charming coastal villages of Conceição and Cabanas.
Our nearly one-hectare property flourishes with orange, fig and olive trees. Exotic guavas, sweet almonds, zesty lemons, and more create a private orchard oasis. Positioned at the end of a quiet road with no immediate neighbors, we offer a rare combination of complete tranquility and privacy, yet we are just a stroll from the Algarve's legendary beaches.
For those preferring poolside relaxation, our seasonal swimming pool and fully-equipped pool house—complete with bathroom, shower, and kitchenette —creates a private retreat right at home.
Our home features a V-shaped design that maximizes both comfort and privacy. One wing houses the open-concept kitchen, dining, and living areas, while the opposite wing contains two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The private master suite occupies the upper level. The house maintains natural coolness even during peak summer heat, though air conditioning is available in every room. All windows have fly screens.
We're particularly keen to arrange home exchanges in or near ski resorts throughout the Swiss/Austrian/Italian/French Alps for winter ski 2026/2027. We can offer simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchange in case you would like a warm weather beach holiday in the summer.

We are inside the protected area of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. There are 4 small farms in our neighbourhood. Our neighbours are small scale producers of avacados, carobs, plums and oranges. We are on a small single-lane farm road that dead-ends just past our gate. It is very private, quiet and calm.
Convenience matches our idyllic setting: just 40 minutes from Faro International Airport and easily accessible by train (Conceição de Tavira station). We're a 5-minute drive to the historic charms of Tavira, even closer to beach access at Cabanas, and only 20 minutes from the Spanish border.
Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate our position directly on the Atlantic Coast Route bicycle path, offering stunning coastal rides from Spain all the way beyond Lisbon—with Tavira just a pleasant 15-minute bike ride away.
For golfers, Benamor is 1 kilometer away and the Quinta da Ria/Quinta da Cima courses are a 6 minute drive.

We had a fantastic first exchange experience. Our partner’s home was described accurately and we felt comfortable immediately. Gerard and Marie- Eliane took wonderful care of our dog and our home. We returned to find the house as we had left it. We are disappointed that the weather here wasn’t the best for our partners - in fact we had record rainfall during their stay. We were happy to hear they managed some golf and hiking between showers. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner for our first exchange experience. We have learned from things they did to make us feel welcome and to help make our stay as easy as possible and we will take these things going forward into our next exchange.

We're a Dutch-Canadian couple who met and married in Switzerland years ago. After raising three children in Canada, we embarked on our retirement journey to the coastal town of Tavira in 2020.
We have a 8 year old Doberman that will be in the home. She is very friendly with people but she does not like other dogs. Our property is fully fenced so she pretty much takes care of herself. You will only have to give her food and water every morning and evening.
