Downtown Paris 1000sq ft quiet and sunny apt with garden and Eiffel Tower view
Great location, in dowtown Paris, close to Nation metro station / fast surburb train stop / many Paris bus stops. In a lively, family friendly neighborhood. Very convenient for grocey shopping (organic stores, hard discount store, regular stores, plenty of bakeries, frozen food store called Picard) and leisure (movie theater down the street, lots of restaurants, take out and terrasses).
We have renovated our apt these last years. We can accomodate two adults & one or two teens in three bedrooms or two couples (one masterbedroom + the office has a sofa bed).The appartment has two bathrooms. Main bedroom has an electric kingbed, great for reading. Our son's former bedroom has an everyday sleeping sofa bed. Our daughter's former bedroom has a regular single bed. There are 2 bathrooms.
We have fast speed internet.
There are 2 elevators.
The building is a little remote from the street, which provides quietness. Balconies are above a garden and a school recess ground, so no building nor street on the way.
In spring and summer, after a day in Paris, you will probably enjoy a peacefull moment on the balconies with a view on the sunset over the Eiffel tower and the gardens downby. There is a sprinkler system on the balconies.
There is a concierge Monday to Saturday morning, and a guard on week ends. The neighborood is very safe.

About the neighborhood
Our subway station (Nation) is direct for most attractions inside or outside Paris (Louvre, Montmartre, Champs Elysées, department stores, Chateau de Vincennes, zoo, aquarium, science museum, Eurodisney...).You can use Metro lines 1 2 6 8 9 and RER A + lots of buses.
If you like running, rollerblading, cycling or laying on the grass, parks are just a block away, as well as a swimming pool.
Farmer's market on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings. Beautiful Rue du Rendez Vous nearby offers lots of small shops for cheese, fish, meat, produces, bread, patisserie, coffee/tea, etc. All convenience stores are close by and you can find a Printemps department store 5 mn walk.
Movie theatre is down the street with films in English and we can advise a few nice restaurants in the neighborhood.

Vi følte os meget velkomne og alt var perfekt i orden. Lejligheden ligger i et hyggeligt kvarter med masser af restauranter og dagligvarebutikker tæt på. Der er nem adgang til metro. Der er en fantastisk solnedgang fra store vinduer i stuen, vi tilbragte en dejlig uge her. Gaelle og Fred var gode og søde at kommunikere med. Det kunne ikke være bedre.
L’appartement d’Eva et Hans est très bien situé pour découvrir la ville. Il est décoré à la mode danoise, comme dans les magazines, et conformément aux photos. Nous y étions très bien installés. Hans et Eva ont une communication facile et efficace. Ils ont pris grand soin de notre appartement. Nous les recommandons absolument si vous cherchez un échange avec Copenhague.
Teunard et Coby nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement et avec beaucoup d’attentions. Nous avons apprécié leur partage d’idées de visites, de rencontres et de découvertes dans la région. La maison est décorée de beaux objets et confortable. Chats et poules ont été de bonne compagnie. A la fin du séjour, nous avons pu partager à nouveau un repas ensemble, tout à fait dans l’esprit Intervac que nous apprécions tant. Un excellent souvenir d’échange !
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet échange avec Wilma et Peter. Nous sommes d’ailleurs toujours en contact. Leur maison est très agréable pour découvrir les environs et absolument conforme aux photos. Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances et recommandons vivement cet échange.

We are a French family of 4. We have lived in Paris for the past 25 years, except for 5 years as expats in Cambridge, MA where we had bought a house. Our kids are curious about new places and very respectful of other people's properties. We like traveling, reading, cooking, outdoors, gardening and DIY. Our neighborhood in Paris is our village : we have great neighbors, peaceful parks, nice grocery stores which makes our "village" the center of everything. We tend to enjoy the city just like tourists, especially since we came back from the US: museums, restaurants, history tours and urban walks. We'll be happy to leave you tips about our surroundings.
You won’t need a car in Paris. You don’t even want to drive in Paris because all is planned to make it time consuming and crazy complicated. So we don’t have a car. But we have deeply appreciated swap offers with families lending us their cars through an Intervac car contract. We used to drive everyday when we lived in the US, we drive cars when on vacation in remote places and it has always been smooth (no accident).
We will take very good care of your home and plants.
We have no pets (not quite convenient for them in Paris & with our jobs), but we often take care of cats and chickens when we swap and enjoy pets a lot when on vacation.
