A comfortable and cosy flat in the heart of Ljubljana
Have you ever considered visiting Slovenia, a country with a population of only 2 million, which boasts stunning natural beauty with the sea, lakes, forests, hills and mountains?
We would like to invite you to our home in Ljubljana, which is a perfect starting point to visit the capital and Slovenia. Our attic flat with a cosy, comfortable feel is located in a vibrant street in the very heart of the historic old city. It is light and spacious (90 sq.m.) with lovely views on the nearby Franciscan church and roofs of the old city.
Our flat consists of one bedroom with a double bed, one room with a single bed, a large sitting room with a TV, radio, free WIFI access, a fully equipped kitchen and all amenities you need ( electric stone with oven, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave), a bathroom and a 10 m long balcony - a great place to enjoy your breakfast in the open air or spend there quiet summer evenings. Parking is available in the courtyard. Within walking distance you have all the main sights of Ljubljana. The central market is a two minutes' walk across the bridge. You can dvelve in the city's vibrant cafe culture or watch the world go by sipping a drink in one of the cafes by the river, just around the corner.
Ljubljana is easily negotiable on foot, yet if you want to see more of Slovenia, coming by car or renting one is certainly a good idea. Thanks to the central position of Ljubljana, a trip to the Alpine region with its mountains and lakes (Bled,Bohinj) takes about one hour; the seaside is easily reached in 1.5 hours, and the vineyards and wooded hills of the northeastern Slovenia with Maribor and the historic town of Ptuj are just 140 km away.
We are Maja and Igor, a retired couple in their early 70s (Maja translator of medical English ) very keen on travelling. and experiencing other people's cultures. We love exploring the world and embracing diversity. We have strong respect for our hosts and their belongings. We have had several successful exchanges and are firm believers in the Intervac concept of travelling and meeting people.

We enjoyed staying in their apartment in Antibes very much. Very spacious and well equipped, a short walk from the old ciity and beaches. Not far from the reailway station - the connections to Nice, Cannes are excellent and by taking the train we avoided looking for parking in those cities. The hosts left us the apartment ready for our stay and we missed nothing there. We would recommend it very much to other Intervac members. We are very thankful to the hosts for contacting us and proposing this exchange .
Excellente situation dans Ljubljana. Appartement surprenant et atypique dont en particulier le mode d'accès ne peut pas convenir à tout le monde. Il est en revanche vaste et bien fourni. Les relations avec les adhérents Slovénes ont été très faciles.
The dwelling is wonderful and accurately represented.We loved both the house and the garden very much Brugge is such a nice town anr really worth visiting it.
A very nice house with a charming garden where we had our meals among flowers. A very warm reception by the family who invited us to lunch on arrival and introduced us to the neighbour who was very friendly and even helped us out with a problem with our bicycle. We did a lot of cycling to the nearby interesting places , such as Amboise. We would highly recommend stay in Tours.
