Saanichton , Canadá

My large comfortable family home is in a quiet semi-rural community. Saanichton is just 20 minutes away by bus or car from Victoria (capital city of British Columbia). Victoria was voted 2 years in a row as the best small city in the world by Condé Naste. My house is just 10 minutes by car from YYJ airport.

Swimming beaches, bike trails, alpine hiking, whale watching, ocean kayaking, and farmers markets are all close-by.  Enjoy Victoria's and Vancouver Island's many restaurants featuring fine dining and Asian cuisine. (I will leave a list of my favourites.)

World famous Butchart Gardens is just 5 minutes by car. Sidney by the Sea is just 15 minutes away by car or bus.
Vancouver, BC and Seattle, Washington, USA are just ferry rides away. But there is lots to do without going off Vancouver Island including visiting Long Beach, Tofino.

The home sleeps 5 people - 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a single bed. I have turned another bedroom into a sewing room but I could put a mattress on the floor for a child. There is lots of room to spread out in the living room, family room and on the deck.

For July 2010, my husband and I arranged a home exchange in the summer in France through Intervac (FR080212) and it was a great experience.  In September 2018, we had another wonderful exchange through Intervac (NL0763).

My husband has passed away but I am lucky to have friends and an adult son who would like to travel with me. I look forward to corresponding with you.
