Flat in Paris and/or house in the Morbihan
We live in a 19th century Haussman -style building in Paris, near the famous park Buttes Chaumont. Our apartment has got a cosy living-room with a fireplace which you can use in winter and a separate dining room. There is a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer) one toilet and a bathroom which has recently been refurbished. Besides our bedroom, there are two other smaller bedrooms. One bedroom has a very comfortable couch that sleeps two and the other one has got a bed that sleeps two. Our flat is on the fifth floor, but no worries you don't need to climb the stairs; there is an elevator.
We have also a holiday home in the Morbihan. Our village is 900 meters from the sea. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully equiped kitchen and a very big garden. There are some pictures available; we can send you more if you are interested.

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
Our flat is at walking distance (5 min) from the famous parc "Buttes Chaumont" and the parc "Belleville" both of which offer a magnificent view of Paris. If you want to see where Jim Morrison or Oscar Wilde are buried; "Père Lachaise" is only a 15 minute walk from our house. It takes 10 minutes by subway to go to the heart of town (Hotel de Ville, Le Marais, Les Halles etc) The subwaystation is 50 m down the street. You don't need a car to do your shopping ; you can find everything you need in our neighbourhood. There are also a lot of cafés and restaurants. The best way to visit Paris is by subway or by bike. Although we wouldn't advice you to use a car in Paris, we can exchange cars if you want, so that you can go for a drive in the countryside or go to one of the amusementspark (Disneyland, Parc Astérix, Mer de Sable).

We had a lovely stay in Sonia’s and Dirk’s apartment and their house near Salzburg. The apartment is situated in a very nice district near the city center so you can easily discover Vienna on foot or by bike. The exchange of cars made it possible to also discover the surroundings. The old house in the countryside is charming. It is situated near many lakes which makes it an ideal spot for swimming and hiking and visit Salzburg ofcourse.

We are a French-Dutch family. Patrick (66) is French. Although officially retired he continues working a little as a journalist. I'm 64. I was born in Haarlem (Netherlands). I stopped working two years ago. We no longer depend on the school holidays as our children are all grown up. Our oldest daughter is Louise (36). She is a translator. She has just returned from Montreal (Canada). Our son Leo (33) teaches a few hours at the Sorbonne university and is manager in digital marketing. Our youngest is Alice. She is 26. She studied Japanese and English and is currently working at the communication departement of a bank. It goes without saying that our children don't travel with us anymore, but on some occasions they like to come and visit us during a house swap. The youngest or should I say oldest? member of our family is our cat Aya. She is 16 years old. As she needs a lot of care Alice will take care of her during your stay.
