House with outdoor pool in Wieselburg, Austria
These pictures are showing our house out- and inside. We have a nice garden with a swimming pool. The kitchen, the living-room, a bathroom and the parents' bedroom are on the ground floor and three children's rooms, a study and a second bathroom are located upstairs.
Our house was built in 1994 and we have been enjoying living in it since 1997.

Wieselburg (about 4,000 inhabitants), the small town we live in, is situated in a region called "Mostviertel" (a part of Lower Austria).
Wieselburg offers
- an open air swimming pool/football ground/tennis courts
- shopping centre/shops
- a brewery (Kaiser/Wieselburger beer): very delicious ;-)
- museums
- restaurants
- short distance to Vienna (90 km) – good connection by train, too
- perfect connection to Vienna Airport by train!!!
- short distance to lakes (Lunzer See, Erlaufsee) and mountains (Ötscher 1849 m , Hochkar) - wonderful hiking tours
- cycle tracks
- good starting point to local excursion destinations (Wachau (famous winegrowing region; you can easily enjoy the Wachau going by ship on the river Danube ), Ruine Aggstein (ruin), Tropfsteinhöhle (dripstone cave), Stift Melk (monastery), St. Pölten (capital of Lower Austria), climbing park (Waidhofen/Ybbs - Buchenberg), zoos, Haubiversum (bakery experience), old Roman City + home town of the painter Oskar Kokoschka (museum) Pöchlarn, pilgrimage sites Maria Taferl and Mariazell, many castles (Pöggstall, Leiben, Schallaburg, Artstetten, Grafenegg, Heidenreichstein, Rappottenstein, Rosenburg, Greillenstein, ...), Ötscher-Tormäuer (nature park), Mostviertler Schienenradl (cycling experience on rails), ...

Wieselburgs public outdoor pool! There is a part for smaller children (= baby pool), a part with a big slide and an extra part with jumping towers (1, 3 and 5 m high). There is a minigolf site enclosed to the public pool,too. Water surface 1225 m²; and of course there's a small restaurant.

We are a family of 5: Doris (53) and Erik (54) plus our children: Jan (25) who is living & studying and working in Vienna and won't join us during the exchanges. And the twins Leo and Luis (19). Probably only one of the boys will accompany us in summer. And finally Masha, our cute cat.
We all enjoy travelling, sight-seeing, hiking and cycling!
