Country house in Austria’s leading white wine region – sustainable & centrally located
This country house is built in a simple but typical architectural style of the region. The residential and auxiliary buildings enclose a spacious secluded courtyard with natural pond and a covered seating area.
Between 2020 and 2025, the house was renovated with sustainability in mind – for example, using locally sourced building materials – and extended by two rooms. Thanks to the combination of room sizes, underfloor heating, a solar panel system and a heat pump, the house operates at minimal energy and heating costs. In total it includes a living room with kitchen, a bedroom, a children's room, one office and an atelier. The rooms contain one double bed, one children's bed and 3 pull-out sofas (140 x 200cm). Two bathrooms and toilets are available.
Our cat "Ernesto" loves to be fed and petted.

About the neighborhood
The house is situated in a small village in the Kamptal valley, surrounded by rolling hills and extensive vineyards. The region is characterised by its nature-oriented, sustainable tourism and is particularly cherished by locals. The UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Wachau’, with its numerous attractions, lies in the immediate vicinity and, like Vienna, is easily accessible thanks to good public transport links.
The traditional cultural landscape is ideal for walks, hikes and cycle rides. In the evening, cosy wine taverns serve regional wines and cold specialities. For visitors with an interest in culture, trips to places such as Grafenegg Castle, Langenlois-Haindorf and Gars am Kamp are well worth a visit.
