Cozy country home in South Sweden - very close to both Malmö and Copenhagen
Our home is an old Swedish/Scandinavian country villa, beautifully situated amidst nature with horse pastures, forest, and lakes, yet conveniently close to the city. Malmö (5 km away), Lund (15 km), and Copenhagen, Denmark (30 km). All accessible by car or public transport.
It’s an old house that we have updated and modernised with all necessities and upgraded to support a completely sustainable lifestyle. Solar panels on the roof, heat pumps, EV charger, fresh water from our own well, and a modern, sustainable sewage system that recycles and filters wastewater. We also have a small pool in our greenhouse, and there’s plenty of space to dine, play, barbecue, and relax on the property or in the surrounding nature.

Our old house is located just outside Malmö (within biking distance), in the midst of the serene Scanian countryside, characterized by gently rolling fields, fertile farmland, and quaint villages. With its wide-open spaces and historic farmsteads, the area offers a peaceful retreat where nature and tradition blend harmoniously, yet it remains a short distance from major cities like Malmö, Copenhagen, and Lund, as well as Gothenburg (about 250 km away).

A really nice brick house with the a location close to Malmö, grocary store and still on the coutry side. The house has a really cute greenhouse, a small pool and a lot of nice cheramics made by the onwer. We enjoyed our stay a lot with the companyon of the fun cat Nils and our friends living in Malmö.

A creative family of three in southern Sweden - two working parents and an active son.
We are a small family of three: Erik (marketing manager), Heike (self-employed ceramist), and our 12-year-old son, who loves BMX, skiing, ice hockey, as well as drawing and various creative projects both on and off the computer. Erik and Heike both work from our home in southern Sweden. We enjoy spending time in our garden, being outdoors, and sharing a good BBQ, and we love taking advantage of all that Sweden has to offer - swimming in lakes and the ocean, exploring forests and hills, heading out on our race bikes and kayaks... We also have a very sweet and affectionate cat, Nils, whom we hope you will take good care of during the exchange.
