A Cosy terraced house near Turku archipelago
This is a very peaceful and green area and is 2 km to the seaside. There are many possibilities for hiking in the forrest with marked paths just a couple of minutes from our house. It is easy to get to Turku, about 6 km and to Helsinki it takes about two hours. The Kaarina center is only two km from our house and there is a very nice beach. It is easy to reach the archipelago by bicycles or car. Turku archipelago is very beautiful and one can make a ring route from one island to another.
This is a terraced house with a garden and a nice patio. We have two bedrooms, open kitchen and livingroom, a toilet, a bathroom with toilet and sauna. We have one e-bike and one bike which can be used here.

Turku is only about 6 km from us and it´s easy to get there also by bus or by bike.
Our hometown Kaarina is a town with 36 000 inhabitants. The seaside and archipelgo is near. Our area is very cozy and green with many forests and parks.

Katriina and Pekka were easy to get along with, well organized and friendly. We felt safe letting them stay in our house, and they left it as tidy as it was when they arrived. Their house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. A big plus for letting us use their boat for fishing, and that we could bring our dog! We liked the public beach and sauna in Kaarina, and Åbo is a nice town. All in all, a nice stay in Finland!
I am pleased to provide a positive reference for this exchange. The experience was exellent in every way and the house was nice and practical. Their communication before and during the exchange was clear and friendly. They took care of our home and belongings, leaving everything tidy and upon our return, we found everything in perfect condition. They were also considerate guests, leaving useful local tips and making the exchange process smooth and enjoyable. We would be happy to exchange homes with them again in the future and warmly recommend them to other Intervac members.

A terraced house with beautiful natural surroundings and the historic city Turku is only 15 min away
We are two retired teachers Katriina and Pekka Nurmio. We love to hike in nature and bike in the surrounding areas. Katriina works as a senior hiking guide and the next wanderings will be to Italy, Ireland, Santiago de Compostela in Spain and Lahemaa national park in Estonia. Also Pekka will be guiding some groups in Ireland and Estonia this year.
Our children are all adults now. We have exchanged 12 times, 9 times with our children quite long time ago. Once we have made the exchange just two of us.
