1970's Bright and Green Apartment by German Architect Hinrich Baller
Our home is a bright open plan apartment located in the green and quiet suburb of Berlin-Lankwitz surrounded by big trees and singing birds.
It has a large balcony (18m2) where we grow seasonal vegetables, fruits, berries and herbs. It also has a cosy bedroom, a guest nook with a sofa bed, an open kitchen with extensive spice varieties, cooktop, oven, microwave and fridge. It has a bathroom with a standing shower and toilet.
Besides our balcony garden, we have beautiful house plants. Our home decor is calm with self-made, new and 2nd hand furniture.
Our suburb has a reliable train line (S-Lankwitz, S25/S26) which will take you directly to Berlin's famous landmarks, such as Brandenburger Tor, The Jewish Memorial, Reichstag, Potsdamer Platz in 25 minutes.
We are Dennis and Rose, an architect and a contemporary artist, and urban gardeners. We own this home and enjoy living here very much.

About Our Family
Hello! My name is Rose and this lovely man next to me is Dennis. We're an artistic couple based in Berlin - I'm a contemporary artist specialised in Women's Rights and Dennis is an architect.
We are two curious people who love travelling "like a local". We like to wonder into the unknown places, eat locally made food and wine, see architecture and experience the arts. We both love growing edible plants and flowers on our balcony, and taking care of our beloved house plants.

Lifestyle
Our apartment is located in the green suburb of Berlin-Lankwitz where big trees thrive and diversed birds live. The apartment is a stone's throw from a public swimming pool (Stadtbad Lankwitz), public parks (Stadtpark Steglitz, Gemeindepark Steglitz,Tempelhofe Feld), a protected forestry area (Natur Park Südgelände) and a botanical garden (Botanischer Garten und Botanisches Museum).
Though our suburb may seem to be quite away from the centre of Berlin, you can reach Berlin's famous landmarks, such as Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Zoologischer Garten, The Jewish Memorial in just 25 minutes.
Our train station is S-Lankwitz (S25/S26, 10 min walk from our apartment), and is connected to 2 big Regional Train Stations, namely Lichterfelde Ost and Südkreuz. And yes, we are spoiled with many cafe's, shops and supermarkets nearby.
Berlin is famous for their both underground and mainstream art scenes, multicultural foods and old/new architecture.
