A beautiful new house on the sea on the Wild Atlantic Way
We live in a cosy three-bedroom home in Rosscarbery, a lovely seaside village in West Cork. It’s a really friendly, peaceful place with beautiful beaches, great walks, and a few nice pubs and café — everything you need within easy reach.
Our house is quite new and very comfortable. It has an open-plan kitchen and living area that gets lots of light during the day and feels very snug in the evenings. There are three double bedrooms. There’s a small garden where you can sit out when the weather’s good, it’s a short walk into the village and only 2km from the sea.
Rosscarbery itself is a great base for exploring West Cork. You can walk or drive to The Warren Beach, Owenahincha, or take trips to places like Clonakilty, Glandore, or Skibbereen. The area is full of coastal drives, swimming spots, and good food — very relaxed and easygoing.
We love living here and think it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy a slower pace for a while.

About Our Family
We are Mary and John, retired teacher and nurse. When our children were young we did about 10 home exchanges so we have lots of experience planning exchanges and caring for other peoples homes. This time it will just be us two but we do hope 1 or 2 of our adult daughters may visit us briefly. Ideally we would like to bring our small, house-trained dog with us too. (However, we can leave him with a friend if your home is strictly pet-free.)
