In the center of the France :
Our home is situated at 1 km of Vallenay - a town with 700 inhabitants in the Berry. It's a country of the centre of the France.
The House was built at the beginning of the century and it is quite typical. It is in the country and the garden, with plenty of trees can be a wonderful playground for children. The property is lovely and particularly pleasant in Summer.
The fields are around our home and here are a lot of walks and a river (le Cher) cross our village
In summer the children like swimming when the weather is fair ! You could discover the Berry and you will have the opportunity to visit the most prestigious castles of the Loire (Chambord, Chenonceaux, Amboise, Valencay, Villandry, …). In addition to that, there are many more things to discover close to our house (Abbeys, Churches, Castles, Forests, Vineyards, Walking places, …).
Finally Paris is only 2 hours from Bourges by train.

Notre maison se situe à 1 km de Vallenay - Ville de 700 habitants- dans le centre de la France. On trouve tous les commerces de proximité.
La maison a été construite au début du XXème dans un style architectural des Folies du XIXèmesiècle. Le jardin (2 ha) est essentiellement constitué d'arbres et offre un espace de jeu intéressant pour les enfants (cabanes, foot, basket, ...). La propriété est très joli et très agréable au printemps comme en été.
La Campagne entoure notre maisons et offre de nombreuses possibilités de promenades. La rivière : le Cher traverse notre village. En été les enfants aiment se baigner quand il fait beau !
Vous pourrez aussi découvrir le Berry et visiter les prestigieux châteaux de la Loire (Chenonceaux, Amboise, Valencay, Villandry, …). Il y a aussi de nombreux sites intéressants : abbayes, églises, vignobles, forêts,…Enfin Paris se situe à seulement 2h00 de train de Saint Florent.

About the neighborhood
En milieu rural dans une campagne authentique et romantique : le Berry .Un patrimoine très riche avec de nombreux monuments religieux et des châteaux prestigieux. Des vignobles du Val de Loire : Sancerre, Pouilly , Menetou , Reuilly . . . et une bonne gastronomie Berrichonne. Une population accueillante dans une région qui n'est pas saturée par le tourisme.

Vous voulez découvrir Berlin et vous arrivez dans un appartement chaleureux et agréable au calme dans un quartier authentique à proximité de nombreux centres d’intérêts de cette ville merveilleuse. C'est déjà beaucoup pour passer de belles vacances. Mais il y a un plus ! Miki, Alexander, Célestine et Rafaela forment une famille formidable avec qui nous avons eu des échanges de messages plein d'intelligence, de délicatesse et d'humanité. Nous pensons qu'une véritable amitié est née entre nous. C'est aussi une famille respectueuse avec deux enfants très attachantes, ils ont pris soin de notre maison,de nos animaux et bien entretenu nos plantes. Pour notre retour les enfants, Rafaela et Célestine, nous ont réservé de belles surprises qui nous ont beaucoup touché. Un bien bel échange Intervac !
We had a fantastic exchange with our hosts from Berry, France. A wonderful and relaxing home and a great location. Our hosts were very, very kind. Communication was excellent; we exchanged many tips and information, and chatted before, during, and after the trip. And our children and we loved the cats :-)
Great communication with the family as from the start (via messages and later WhatsApp). Home is amazing, accurately represented and was perfectly prepared for our arrival. Upon return to our house, we found it in impeccable state. We highly recommend exchanges with this Intervac family.

We are a couple of secondery school teachers (in schools of agriculture). Marianne is 55 , she teaches history and geography. As for Gilles is 59 and he teaches agronomy to future farmers.
We have two childrens : Lucas who is 30 years old and Victor 25. They don't always follow us for the holidays.
We have got 2 cats ( Titus and Patate) and 1 service dog of Labrador breed (Manzana) .
Our dog does not stay in the house. If she can follow us on vacation or we entrust her to friends.
We are fond of new experiences and travels and it's been 35 years now since we became members of intervac. We have already exchanged with 35 families of Norvegian, Danish, Swedish, English, Dutch, Irish, Canadian, Swiss, Belgian, Scottish,German,Spanish and French.
