Enjoy a comfortable family home in south Dublin near the mountains and the sea
We are a family of 3 who live in a quiet residential area of Dublin. Our house was built in 1974 but has been modernised to a very high standard. Downstairs there is a large kitchen with a dining area that seats up to 7 people. If you are interested in cooking there is a big selection of cookery books. There is also a living area with TV and DVD player which looks out onto the garden. To the front of the house we have a sunny sitting room with TV. There is a downstairs bathroom with a shower. We have a garage with washing machine, dryer, and 3 bikes. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom, a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower.
Outside there is a very generous garden with a patio area.
Nearby you will find two parks. St Enda’s park is within walking distance and has a small café and a museum and Marley park is a short drive and is known for its weekend food market and also for it lovely walks.
You will be in the city centre within 20 minutes and can visit the historic sites of Trinity College, Dublin castle. St Patricks cathedral and many more. The house is also close to the mountains and Wicklow known as “the garden of Ireland” has a variety of interesting mountain walks to offer. The picturesque sea side town of Dunlaoghaire is also close by as is the beach at Killiney.
There are a large number of activities for children of all ages: the zoo, Imaginosity Ireland first children’s museum, Jump zone and zip wiring in Tierbradden to name a few.

About the neighborhood
We live in a quiet residential neighbourhood approx 20 minutes from the centre of Dublin by car. There are shops, haridressers, a pharmacy and butcher within walking distance of the house. Dundrum shopping centre one of Europe's best shopping centre is also close by.

We really enjoyed this exchange in Puigcerda. We loved the comfortable apartment with its spectacular views. The location was superb. We spent many happy days exploring the lakes and mountains of the region. We visited Andorra and we also spent some time in the French Pyrenees. Gloria and Jordi were fantastic Intervac hosts. They were very easy to communicate with and sent us many helpful videos and provided lots of advice on what to do in the area. They also let our house super clean. We would like to thank them for a great exchange.
This summer, we did a home exchange in Dublin, staying in a quiet and comfortable house in District 16. The house was fully equipped with all the appliances we needed for our stay. The neighbourhood is well connected to the city centre, so having a car isn’t necessary. Dublin offers a wide range of attractions, from museums like the GPO, EPIC, and Guinness Storehouse, to beautiful parks such as Phoenix Park and Marlay Park. There are also plenty of cosy pubs where you can enjoy a good meal. However, if you’d like to explore the stunning areas around Dublin, we recommend renting a car. Communication with David and Joanne was smooth and helped make the exchange a great experience.
We've had an excelent exchange with Joanne and David. Very good comunication during our exchange. They had taken good care of our house and car. Their house is perfectly described and the neighborhood was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to discover Dublin and surroundings.
This was one of the best exchanges we have done so far. Gines and Ana were fantastic hosts, always available to answer our questions. We loved their house and the garden. The area was really interesting and we were able to explore Pamplona. Gines and Ana also treated out house very well.

We are a family of three. Our daughter Grainne sometimes travels with us. We enjoy travelling, meeting new people and we spend a lot of time hill walking. We also love cooking and trying new food. We all love reading and the house is full of books.
